PATHFINDER BIKE TOURS - BLESMA OLD A5 BIKE RUN
PATHFINDER BIKE TOURS - Your Adventure Starts Here

The British Limbless Ex Service Mens Association (BLESMA) Old A5 Motorcycle Run
Sunday 30th September 2012

Last year our chosen charity was Help For Heroes (H4H). A few hardy souls raised £17,000+ with the Mad Moped Run by riding from John O' Groat's to Lands End on Mopeds
(+ up to 100cc).

We deliberately organised the event to be challenging and finished on April fools day.

There are a few people missing from this photo. They just kept on riding for 6 days, 948 miles! Yes, that is a 50cc Honda Zoomer at the front (one of 2). The other drove past following an orange NVT 1976 moped and 7 Honda 90's and a Puch Maxi clone?!!

We were humbled by many of our donations from children, with their pocket money and pensioners thrusting notes into our collection tins, when they knew where the money was going.

One Restaurant http://www.thebayowl.net/ and its customers raised £684 for the run. We dont know the names of most doners but, THANK YOU ALL

This year we are supporting The
British Limbless Ex Service Mens Association (BLESMA)

BLESMA is the national charity for limbless serving and ex-service men and women and their dependents and widows.  It is the charity that directly supports all our service men and women who lose limbs, the use of limbs or eyes or the sight of an eye in the service of our country.  BLESMA is with them all whenever they are needed for the rest of their lives.
BLESMA's work is about life after amputation.  Their work is about life long welfare support, about campaigning for what they deserve and about being there when old injuries come back to haunt.  The youngest BLESMA member is 19 and the oldest is 99.

We are seeking support from the Motorcycle Press.

The run starts at Holyhead and runs the length of the Old Roman A5 (several sections re-numbered) to Marble Arch London via, the ACE Cafe'.

to be taken to the Just Giving web page and where you can donate a minimum of £10 for each motorcycle taking part or less if not taking part.  Further sponsorship, at a later date, is (of course) very welcome! Then e-mail Cindy at cindy@pathfinderbiketours.com with your name and contact details to enter the BLESMA Old A5 Motorcycle Run.

The run is open to any 2 or 3 wheeled vehicles (any cc) or any specially adapted vehicle of any type.
